transcending the ordinary.

It's important that we understand the concept that we should approach transcending out ordinary human condition in that we are not here to gain something we don't already have.

In the Vedanta and Tantric teachings it simply says - there is nothing to improve! A concept that in this age we may find impossible to believe - with all that is geared toward us to do, to work for, to be - all the things to 'be better'.

And while there is a paradox; there is a desire to be better and there is a process in that, we must consider that we don't need more of something else to do that. We need less of what we have accumulated. Less in the mind, less attachment to 'the story of me and my life'.

So, essentially the supreme reality says we are perfect as we already are - but as we cannot truly grasp that (understandably) we are drawn to practices such as yoga, pranayama, meditation, self-enquiry - these wonderful and potent tools - but we practice without the expectation of any particular results. This in and of itself is part of the letting go of conditioning.

For example, we do to work and work hard for the money or the title, or to progress. But with our practice we need to let go of all that. Because all of that pertains to an illusionary future. It's great to have a good job, money, progression - but from a spiritual standpoint this has no value at all.

Can we really begin to understand this concept?
it's very hard for our conditioned mind to see 'no value' without harbouring negative dialogue.

But that's perfectly ok.

This is all part of the big uncomfortable part of seeing our conditioning.
